There are varied methods to sampling dōTERRA essential oils. Depending on the leader you speak to, some Wellness Advocates sample to get people interested in the oils. Others will only sample their customers. And others do something in between.

I’m the in-between. How about you?

No matter which style of sampling you prefer, there are a few tools that you NEED for sampling well and easily.

1. Actual Samples

Before we sample someone, we need samples! Some of my favourite things to sample are:

I LOVE these little 1/4 dram vials and add 10-12 drops of oil for a sample

2. Key Tool

I don’t know HOW I lived without key tools for the first year of my business!

I wish I had them just for my own rollers and smaller travel oils. All the dented orifices from using a kitchen knife to pry those things open. Save your orifices!!

This super simple tool helps to lift off orifices as well as close them tightly into your sample vials. They can be used for ANY size and for roller bottles, too! Best invention everrrrr!

3. Sample Cards

These free Sharing Essential Oil cards from dōTERRA (printed on cardstock) are a perfect learning tool. We want our peeps to know how to use their samples, right? These cute cards will teach them just what to use them for. Plus, you can add your info on the back. Thanks dōTERRA!

4. Organza Bags

There’s something about getting a sample in a pretty baggie. First, it doesn’t get lost in your purse like a teeny vial does. Second, you feel special when you get a gift like that, you know?!

I have various sizes depending on what I’m sampling. I use the smallest ones the most, however the larger ones are great for sample gift sets (eg: all the samples from #1).

5. Sample Stickers

Probably the most obvious – we need stickers in order to sample! No one wants to play ‘guess that smell’ with a couple of non-labelled vials.

There are a ton of options out there, but I love these from Got Oil Supplies! They have oil sheet sets for every single dōTERRA oil. This makes it much more cost effective when you know you’re sampling the same oils.

Alternatively, ordering them in your dōTERRA back office is simple at less than $1 a sheet. Then you have a couple stickers of every oil. Simple and comes with your monthly order!

Not having luck with sampling?

Despite your heart-felt efforts to help people with samples, sometimes you may feel stuck. Like it’s just not working. Here are 4 things you could be doing wrong and what to do instead.
