What is a testimonial challenge?

A testimonial challenge is a 30-day Facebook group posting campaign that will create engagement within your group while educating your customers on the various oils and dōTERRA products.

My sister (upline) had tried this a year before with her customer group and I felt like, with a few tweaks, I could really get it to blow up and be a success with my customers. I created this full script and gathered all the images from dōTERRA’s various social media and decided to put this together for the month I planned to hit Platinum.

 

With recent changes in Facebook algorithms, I wasn’t getting a lot of engagement. I created the wording and giveaways in such a way that would allow for excitement, engagement, and community spirit. This challenge did JUST that!

 

How I Put it Together

First, I announced the challenge a couple of days before the first day of the month.

 

Then, I did a live video in my group page to share with them what I was doing and to share the oils/products I was giving away.

 

On the first day of the month, I had the first post go out (scheduled at 6am every day) and kept an eye on any questions people had. I was sure to ‘love’ every comment that was posted as well (I couldn’t comment because there were FAR too many, so I only commented on questions).

 

What I Would Do Differently 

I would do one thing different next time: I created a handout my customers to track their fav testimonials. The problem is, I didn’t think about this until halfway through the challenge!

Lucky for you, you can do it before! Learn from my mistakes 🙂 I definitely recommend giving the handout to them before the challenge!

Right from the first day, SO MANY PEOPLE were talking about how incredible some of the testimonials were. They wanted to try certain oils because of what they were reading from others.

The handout I made offers them a spot to keep track of the oils on their wish list and why they want those oils (based on the other testimonials). I wish they had it before the middle of that month!

Your Testimonial Challenge Steps

  1. Download the script and images (complete the form above).
  2. Schedule images in your FB group.
  3. Go live on FB two days before the challenge to share with your group.
  4. Upload the worksheet the day before the challenge so your customers can print it and complete it during the challenge.
  5. Share your own testimonials along with your customers.
  6. On the day after the last post, do the giveaway for those who commented! This can take time, especially if you received LOTS of comments! But it’s worth it 🙂 Go live to do the draw, if you can. I typed out everyone’s names, printed them, cut them out, then went live as I did the draw.

OPTIONAL: If you have a ‘social learning’ group in FB, add your Testimonial Challenge into a unit so it can be easily accessed later by new customers who want to know how to best use the oils.
